Virginia Tritschler, MS, RN
is the Director, Risk, Quality & Regulatory Affairs,
at the Visiting Nurse Association of Boston, MA. She
received an A.S. degree in nursing in 1969, a B.S. degree
in hospital administration at Northeastern University,
Boston in 1978, and a M.S. in Health Service Administration
at the University of Lowell, MA, in 1987. At the VNA
of Boston, she has developed and implemented a Performance
Improvement Program, Safety and Infection Control Programs,
and an Ethics Advisory Committee. She has also directed
Task Forces designed to prepare the VNA of Boston to
meet JCAHO, OASIS, and Prospective Payment System requirements.
She has extensive experience in problem identification
and solutions, and in bringing people together to collaborate
effectively on various projects.
